Join Faith + Foundations Christian Co-Op

Membership Process

The intent of Faith + Foundations Christian Homeschool Co-Op is to remain a small group so relationships can form deeply through the years. We aim to keep Level One around 10-12 children, so as younger siblings join in, new families join, and Levels Two and Three develop, the co-op will consist of around 25-35 children in total.

All prospective families would then be invited to participate in an interview process. This helps us ensure, first, that families align with F+F’s core values and are committed to raising their children within a doctrinally sound Biblical worldview. Second, it allows us to confirm a mutually beneficial cultural fit.

01

Start Your Application

All families interested in joining Faith + Foundations Christian Co-Op are expected to fill-out the application form to be considered.

02

Schedule an Interview

Within your application, please note the best available days and times to schedule a mutual interview phone call. This helps our membership team ensure prospective families align with Faith + Foundations values and are committed to raising their children within a sound Biblical worldview. It also allows both parties to confirm a mutually beneficial cultural fit.

03

Pick a Day to Experience Faith + Foundations

The fall 2025 season is the kick-off of our co-op so “visiting” looks a little unique right now. Rather than visiting to see F+F co-op in action, we will plan a playdate with several members or plan an in-person coffee with several moms for you to be able to meet other members, ask questions, and learn more about our curriculums.

04

Review and Decision

After an in-person meeting, and you’ve reviewed the value alignment, fiscal commitment, and attendance responsibility, we will convene to make a decision together.

05

Tuition & Membership Enrollment

If mutually accepted in Faith + Foundations Christian Homeschool Co-Op, payment would be made upfront to cover the cost of materials, lessons, and experiments. Then, we’ll see you at co-op!

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost of membership for Faith + Foundations Christian Homeschool Co-Op?

The cost of yearly membership is $240 per child active in F+F. This cost goes directly to budget for supplies for arts, science experiments, printing, and any other supplies needed for classes. No one within Faith + Foundations profits from membership fees.

Is there childcare for younger siblings during co-op hours?

There is no childcare available; younger siblings are in the care of their parent in the same space as the co-op class. We encourage bringing a few toys, art supplies, books, and snacks to assist in entertaining your younger children during class sessions.

If I’m volunteering to teach, will I have help with my younger children?

If you’re volunteering to teach, we recommend making arrangements with another attending parent to assist in watching your younger children during that class time, or to have another parent assist with being an extra set of hands during your class time.

Where is this co-op located?

Faith + Foundations Christian Co-Op is located in South Charlotte, NC near Calvary Church and is hosted at a private residence. This will be reevaluated in the next few years as our co-op grows, but it will remain in the same area of South Charlotte.

What day of the week and time does Faith + Foundations meet?

Faith + Foundations Co-Op meets on Thursdays from 9 AM to 1 PM. We follow a “Sabbath” approach with six weeks on followed by one week off, with a winter break. Within this format, there are five weeks of classes, one week of fellowship, and then one field trip held per quarter. Please apply for membership to see the schedule in full.

What is the format of co-op day?

F+F Co-Op starts promptly at 9 AM and classes end at 11:30 AM, followed by lunch and fellowship until 1 PM. For our Level One students, we intentionally align subjects in a way that they are never expected to be still for longer than 15-20 minutes at a time. Classes are very engaging with participation in hands-on learning activities heavily encouraged.

What is the attendance policy?

There is no “limit” on the amount of days that can be missed, but at F+F, we thoroughly believe that what you invest in, you get out. That said, if a family is consistently missing more days than they are attending, a conversation will be requested by the F+F admin team to inquire about commitment. Consistent attendance not only benefits your child enrolled in F+F, but the class dynamic as a whole.

Would Level One be a good fit for my 3-year-old?

Level One is targeted to fit the needs and abilities of children ages four to nine, but a mature 3-year-old could certainly be a good fit and would be considered. Children are expected to be able to sit with others and participate with minimal parental guidance. If your child is capable of that and is ready to begin learning, contact us to explore further.

When will Levels Two and Three be developed?

Levels Two and Three will be developed out either when our oldest students in Level One reach Level Two, or when there are enough interested families with students in these ages groups interested in committing to the co-op. Contact us for more information.
